Last Friday I booked myself, going by myself again this time, on a 12-night Mediterranean Collection cruise on Pacific Princess from Venice to Roma. Oh my gosh, I’m so excited! I used to live in Sicily when I was 18-20 and loved it! Ever since I left I have been wanting to return, not for a visit, but to live.
Here is my itinerary:
Possibly 12-nt Holy Land from Athens to Venice, then:
Day 0: 1 night pre-cruise in Venice
Day 1: Venice, Italy (boarding at 1PM)
Day 2: Venice, Italy (Departure 5PM)
Day 3: Split, Croatia (9-6)
Day 4: Kotor, Montenegro (7-4)
Day 5: Corfu, Greece (9-6)
Day 6: At Sea
Day 7: Valletta, Malta (8-5)
Day 8: Messina, Italy (8-6)
Day 9: Sorrento/Capri, Italy (7-5)
Day 10: At Sea
Day 11: Nice, France (7-6)
Day 12: Portofino, Italy (7-5)
Day 13: Civitavecchia, Italy (Arrive 5AM)
Day 14 – 18: Hanging with my friend Walter near Rome, on the beaches, in the restaraunts, etc.
Day 19 – 33: Hanging with my friends in Praiano, Sorrento, Positano, Naples, and Capri!
Nice, nice, nice itinerary!
I have begun researching Venice, and have booked myself for one night pre-cruise in the Hotel Concordia. The cost is an astounding 170 euros, but my flight will arrive early so I think it will be worth it. I considered staying at the Marriot Courtyard near the airport due to jetlag, but the cost was 167 euros and I would have to have transportation to get into Venice. No thanks!
This place just looks divine to me!
Now I search for the best transportation from airport to hotel, then from hotel to pier for the following morning. Once this step is complete, then I research what I want to do for 3 days!!
